Woolston Train Station is one of the busiest local stations in Southampton, yet it is not step-free. You could help me to change that by signing my petition.

Right now, many disabled passengers, older residents, parents with buggies, and people with mobility issues cannot use the station independently.

In practice, some passengers travelling from Woolston to Southampton Central have to travel to Fareham to use lifts in order to get back to Woolston. That is unfair and unacceptable.

There are ways to make Woolston step-free, including the possibility of a new accessible entrance from Vineyard Close, alongside lift options to the existing footbridge.

I am making the case to Network Rail, South Western Railway and the Department for Transport to:

✅Prioritise Woolston Station for step-free access;
✅Progress a formal funding bid without delay; and
✅Work with local residents and users to deliver a solution that is fair, practical and inclusive.

And now I need your help to show support from local residents and commuters. Please sign my petition, and I’ll keep you updated as discussions continue.
