Yes, it’s only October – but with mince pies already on shelves and the distinct chill of winter in the air, it’s time for me to launch my annual Christmas Card competition again!
Here’s how it works: it’s open to all primary school-aged children across Southampton Itchen. I will choose three winning designs that will be featured on my official Christmas cards that will be sent far and wide to many people across our part of Southampton and beyond, including community leaders, the Prime Minister and even the King and Queen!
With huge thanks to the Mayflower Theatre, I am pleased to say that the three winners will each receive four tickets each to this year’s panto – the Pantomime Adventures of Peter Pan. I would also welcome the opportunity to visit the winners in person to congratulate them on their creativity.
How to enter:
The theme of this year’s card is ‘What does Christmas in our city mean to you?’. Whether your pupils choose to celebrate religious or family traditions, community excitement or the buzz and excitement of Southampton at Christmas is up to them – I want this to be an opportunity for them to show their creativity in their own special way.
Please keep in mind these rules when creating and submitting your entries:
- All entries should be submitted by post or email to Darren Paffey MP, House of Commons, London SW1A 0AA or [email protected] by Friday 28 November
- Entries submitted by post should be A4 size – please do not use glitter or other additional decorations or material as we will be unable to scan and reproduce these.
For full terms and conditions please see below.
Any questions, please email: [email protected]. I very much hope that lots of kids will take part and I’m looking forward to seeing (and celebrating) their creativity!
